                        The Electrical Outlet Adventure

                                 Introduction

Well, this is my first IGS, and I hope for it to be widely used.
It's nothing too special, just a wacko, an electrical socket, a fork and some
unpleasant feelings. Well, that's what I hope to put in, I'm at the beginning
of it as I write this txt file... I was just sitting at my computer this
afternoon, and decided I wanted to write a story. It took me a while to come
up with the idea, but I found it fitting. After all, the characters ARE
loonies!
As of 5/8/98 (Today) I've already modified this text file... I changed
some stuff in this intro, as well as the file names. Like, origionally, they
were called Socket.xxx (xxx being whatever, not a porno designation), and
since the IGS is called the Electrical OUTLET adventure, I figured I'd change
this. :)
                                 Installation...

Installation should be pretty quick and painless. Just make sure you

        >* PUT THE FILES IN THE LUNATIX HOME DIRECTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*<

If you do that, all you need to do is type INSTALL1. It's a little batch file
I made using a technique that Tao Ge (of Exitilus (c) fame) suggested when
making quests, and I later used when I had too many LORD (c) IGMs for Joseph
Masters' Incredible IGM Expander (c) to use. All it does is add a few lines
to the end of your BOOKS.DAT file. Using it myself, there has been one known
bug with the installation, and that is that it adds a blank line onto the end
of the BOOKS.DAT file. Just use your favourite text editor, go to that line,
and hit backspace. _SHOULD_ eliminate the problem. If all goes well, this
IGS will be installed without a hitch. It'll install itself! Uninstallation,
however, is manual - you must edit your BOOKS.DAT file, and erase the 2 lines
that The Electrical Outlet Adventure has added. Got it? Good.

Contents of the .zip (or .arj, or .rar or .lhz...)

There should be somewhere between 4 and 6 files included with the
.zip. If one of these happens to be FLANGE.YES, then delete it before
installation, otherwise, it won't install. It will detect that file and think
it is already installed.

       OUTLET.TXT <- This file
OUTLET.SIG <- Contains the info that will be added to Books.dat
       OUTLET.IGS <- The story itself
       INSTALL1.BAT <- The installation file
*FLANGE.YES <- This is NOT contained, but will be created by the
install to let it know it has been installed, thus
                       preventing extra installations by accident.

These files may be distributed inn their origional, unmodified form, with
and only with each other, i.e. zipped.

                   Problems/comments/suggestions

Should you have any of the above, feel free to e-mail me at
Niknac@Star21.com or if you live in the Cleveland, Ohio area, or don't
mind long-distance, call (440.646.9573) for my BBS, Tentacle Nation.

Goodbye, and Good Luck!

                        Disclaimer (and such)

Anything that has (c) after it is probably copywrited in some form, so, as to
not take chances, I included that. Exitilus is origionally Tao Ge's game,
and The Incredible IGM Expander is probably copywrite Joseph Masters in some
form/shape/way. This author assumes no responsibility should the files it
accompanies do something to your system that it shouldn't. This program has
been tested to be virus free and will not do anything except install and run
The Electrical Outlet Adventure inter-game story for Lunatix, v4.xx+. Blah
blah blah, you can't sue for using my program, etc. etc. etc. (I've never
been one for much of a disclaimer, but I don't want to get sued, because this
program will NOT do anything unfavorable to any system. The End.)
