Hello! Welcome to Myles' Games Extraviganza's InterBBS Leagues (116)!!!
Before I go on, let me take this time to thank you for at least considering
joining up with us. Hopefully, as you read through this .TXT file, you'll be
convinced that League 116 is the league for you! If it is, you just need to
fill out the accompanied APP-116.TXT file and send it in! But in the mean
time, I hope to tackle most of your questions as you read through this file..

The following files (5) should be included within this archive:

116Info.Txt (All the info you could want on League 116)
App-116.Txt (Our simple application for for joining league 116)
SciFi.ZIP (Application/Infopack for The Science Fiction & Fantasy Network)
InTraTec.ZIP (Application/Infopack for the InTraTec Network)
Tattle.ZIP (Application/Infopack for The TattleNet Network)

If any of these files are missing, chances are you don't have an "offical"
League 116 info pack! Be warned!

******************************************************************************

Firstly, before you get swamped with all the details of League 116, perhaps
it would be good to know about the BBS that's hosting League 116, and its
SysOp..

League 116 is based out of Myles' Games Extraviganza (M.G.E.) and is operated
by the League Coordinator (LC), Myles Bunbury. M.G.E. is a BBS dedicated to
online gaming. Besides the 12 InterBBS games it offers through League 116,
M.G.E. offers over *70* other doors to its users. Of those 70, it is always
adjusting their settings, upgrading them, and looking for even more doors to
put up! However, we all know a good BBS isn't built solely on doors. M.G.E.
also offers over *90* message Echos, through 5 message nets, trivia, files,
and other odds and ends. This just goes to show the commitment that League
116 and its operator stand for, and proves that this just isn't another
ordinary BBS/league..

But now then, you came for info on the League, not the BBS, right? :)
Read on then!

******************************************************************************

League 116 was first established in January of 1994 when BRE League 116
went up. As most leagues do, this league started slowly. However, with the
effort of its members, good advertising, and the merger with several other
leagues, League 116 soon expanded and became renowned among many. To date,
we have never had a member drop out for "negative" reasons. All drop outs have
been due to the cost of long distance calls or loss of contact with a certain
BBS (they've usually gone down). Anyways, League 116 expanded to incorperate
many more games, and League 116 currently hosts 12 InterBBS Games.

In fact, this proves that League 116 has indeed at least partially
accomplished its goals: To become the biggest and best league around.
League 116 has always strived to make its games fast-paced and challenging,
and to foster competitiveness and rivalries, while maintaining a light
atmosphere and good humour among players. After all, its not the game that
makes a league what it is, it's the players. Sure, such a goal isn't always
able to be reached, and I'll admit that at certain times the league has
strayed from that direction, but it always gets back on track. After all, its
these qualities that give League 116 the reputation it has.

As for the more technical aspects of the league (and you've probably heard
these through some of our ads), League 116 is based in Ottawa, Canada.
League 116 offers InterBBS games of ISA, BRE, FE, TAL, Colonies, LORE,
Arrowbridge, Arrowbridge II, Iron Ox, Kingdoms, TQFN, and The Clans, and we'll
add more as more come out. League 116 uses only the latest versions (or
"technology" as we like to call it) of the games, as to assure that there
aren't any bugs or cheats that players could potentially use to disrupt the
game. As for the number of members in our leagues, it varies greatly from game
to game. The BRE League is currently hovering around 55 BBSs, while the lesser
known games may only have a few members within. This number is perfect though,
as it allows for a great InterBBS experience, while not making members feel
like a tree in the forest.

******************************************************************************

League 116 has earned the status of "Offical League" of the following groups:

                Group | Accompanied Advertizement
     --------------------------------------------------------
          I.S.A. & DreamWARE | *None*
              Sci-Fi Net | Sci-Fi.ZIP
               InTraTec | InTraTec.ZIP
	      Tattle-Net | Tattle.ZIP

Note: Your BBS does *NOT* need to be affiliated, or become affiliated with
those that endorse this league. (However, it IS encouraged! <G>)

If you're at all interested in becoming affilitated with any of the above
groups, please check out their accompanied advertizement, contained within
this .ZIP file. Remember, you're NOT required to be/become affiliated with
these groups to be a part of League 116!

If you know a group that would like to take advantage of League 116 by making
it its offical league, please feel free to contact the coordinator. Mutual
endorsement is always a WIN-WIN situation! And merging League 116 with an
existing league or setup is always an option, so don't delay! Endorse
one of the best leagues around!

******************************************************************************

As mentioned in the previous section, League 116 is endorsed by the makers of
ISA. In plain english, this essentially means that ISA League 116 is the
offical beta testing league for ISA. Hence, as a member of this league, you
will have access to pre-release beta version of the game. It should be noted
here that beta versions tend to have bugs in them. It is for this reason that
you are NOT required to use beta copies of ISA if you are a member of the ISA
league, under the condition that the latest beta is still compatible with the
latest public release. Now in terms of bugs, there shouldn't be much to worry
about, as anything major I usually track down before distributing it to the
league. Also, if you choose to participate in the beta testing, then you must
agree to the standard beta testing rules, such as not releasing a beta copy
to ANYONE, reporting bugs, making suggestions, etc. If anything in this
paragraph concerns you, please don't hesistate to ask!

******************************************************************************

The following are all of the rules that participants of League 116 must
abide by. Failure to do so could mean temporary removal from the league, or
an all out expulsion from it. Make sure you agree with all the rules listed
below before you decide to join!

(I don't want to sound like a dictator here, but these rules are nessessary
to prevent the league from collapsing into chaos. Besides, they're all common
sense anyways!)

1) All members must remain in constant contact with M.G.E., transfering mail
between it and/or their Hub at LEAST once a day.

2) All members must assure the quickest turn around times possible, elimating
any unneeded delays that may occur while mail is on their system.

3) All members must have *REAL* names passed through to the door via dropfile
(or other means). No aliases will be tolerated! (I may be able to help those
who run an alias system and can't figure out how to accomplish this.. Please
consult me if this issue is a concern for you.)

4) All members must have a means of user verification on their BBS, such as a
CBV or Caller ID. This mearly to help thwart dupe players!

5) All members must keep their door software up to date at all times! The
latest version is usually availible at M.G.E., and will be sent to you, when
availible, if desired.

6) All SysOps must keep an eye on their games, informing the Coordinator of
any problems, concerns, etc. of the game or its players.

7) All SysOps are expected to deal with concerns in a private manner, such as
netmail to the LC or a private message to my "character" in the league.

8) All SysOps are expected to assist the League Coordinator in anyway he asks,
including the deletion of troublesome players and resetting the game.

9) All players are expected to keep their Inter-BBS messages "clean", thus
avoiding rude/foul/profain/obnoxious comments, that may offend other BBSs.

10) All SysOps are responsible for informing the League Coordinator should
their BBS be going down (temporarily or permenatly) or if they're leaving the
league altogether.

11) The SysOp will assure that any one person controls, at maximum, ONE
"character" in the game.

12) If the BBS is operating under/with a group that is affiliated with League
116, that BBS must abide by any rules that that group stands by. Those rules
are, however, second to the rules listed above.

13) Any BBS joining a game MUST reset that game before being admitted to the
league.

*** Please note that all this isn't as bad as it sounds. These rules are
*** mearly in place to give the league some sort of structure, and to help
*** deal with trouble/troublemakers in a quick and effective manner. Most of
*** these rules are common sense anyways, so you won't feel like someone's
*** watching your back all the time.
