The SupersPort 286e ("e" for enhanced) is a VGA version of
Zenith's original SupersPort with a faster hard disk drive.
 
Based on the 12-MHz 80286 CPU, the SupersPort 286e features a
6-MHz mode (for extended battery life) and a supertwist
fluorescent backlit VGA screen. The SupersPort 286e measures 12
by 12 by 3 inches, and it weighs 12 pounds without the 4-pound
battery pack. The battery gives you 3 to 4 hours of use.
 
Standard equipment includes 1 megabyte of RAM that's expandable
to 3 megabytes, a 3.5-inch 1.44-megabyte floppy disk drive, and
your choice of a 20-megabyte 28-millisecond or 40-megabyte
(25-millisecond) hard-disk drive. Also standard is a port for an
external 5.25-inch 1.2-megabyte floppy-disk drive, a coprocessor
socket, a 79-key keyboard, a slot for an optional 2400 bit per
second modem, MS-DOS 3.3 Plus, and a connector for a 3-slot
expansion chassis, and a VGA color monitor port.
