A 25-MHz 80386, the PC 380/25C is Wang's latest system
announcement and the company's highest performer of five personal
computer offerings. It is scheduled to ship in December.
 
Standard equipment includes 1 megabyte of RAM, a keyboard, a
Phoenix BIOS, a floppy-disk driver controller, and your choice of
a 1.2-megabyte 5.25-inch or a 1.44-megabyte 3.5-inch floppy
disk drives. The system board features six 16-bit, two 8-bit, and
one proprietary 32-bit memory slot that handles all the RAM, up
to a capacity of 16 megabytes of 35-nanosecond RAM. There's also
a cache for high-speed memory transfers.
 
The tower-style system chassis measures 16 by 21 by 7 inches.
There's room for one full-height hard-disk drive and one
half-height floppy-disk drive (or tape drives). The power supply
is 230 watts.
 
Options include 40-, 100-, and 321-megabyte hard disk drives,
monitors, and software.
