White Crane Systems has added a powerful new file manager to
version 2.0 of The Brooklyn Bridge. This file-transfer package
consists of RAM-resident file transfer software and an 8-foot
universal cable to connect two computers via the serial ports.

Called Filer, the new file manager makes it easier for you to
transfer files (at a rate of 115,200 bps) between IBM-compatible
desktop, portable, and laptop computers. Now you can choose
between Filer with a dual-screen directory display and
Lotus-style menus for simple point-and-shoot operations, or the
shortcut DOS file transfer commands.

In addition, The Brooklyn Bridge features DOS utilities (e.g.,
move, rename, copy, and backup) as well as a run utility that
provides for dual-independent processing. The package also lets
you share peripheral devices such as printers, plotters, and tape
backup systems.

The Brooklyn Bridge 2.0 runs on the IBM PC, portables, and
laptops with 5K bytes of RAM on the master computer, 70K bytes of
RAM on the slave computer, and DOS 2.0. A 50-foot universal cable
is also available separately.

Price: L95.
