DSP Design's SL802 is a communications controller card with
eight RS-232C serial channels. Each channel has handshaking
capabilities and programmable data-transfer-rate generators that
support asynchronous operation up to 38,400 bits per second.

The single Eurocard uses Zilog's 8530 serial communications
controller. Serial data transfers can be interrupt driven, using
vectored or nonvectored interrupts, or performed under DMA
(direct-memory-access) control. You can jumper-link interrupts
that you generate on-board to any one of the eight STEbus ATNRQn
lines.

You can link serial cards together using the 60-way insulation
displacement connector mounted on the front of each card.
Software support is available in the form of source code listings
for Z80-, 64180-, and 8086-compatible CPUs running under DOS or
CP/M.
